All the turned pens seen here are hand made from either wood or corian. Corian is the stone like material used for kitchen worktops. The turned wooden pens are finished with an oil finish which has less of a shine than a wax or laquer finish but has the benefit that it is in the wood, not on it so it doesn't wear off. It also leaves the wood in contact with your hand so it doesn't feel like a plastic pen!
