SAFETY WHEN TURNING
The choice of what to wear when
woodturning never seems to worry some turners,
it should.
It's all to easy to get a loose sleeve or some other item of
clothing caught up in a spinning lathe. The damage that can cause is
horrific. Wearing safe, comfortable clothing is important.
LOVELL WORKWEAR
The clothing produced by Lovell Workwear has been designed and
manufactured with the safety of woodturners and woodworkers in
mind. The Lovell Original is a smock made specially for
woodturning and woodworking in general, the smock was developed for
safety and optimum comfort. It features an adjustable collar that
keep out dust and shavings, pinch-close velcroed cuffs and sheer
front to keep clothing away from rotating work and cutters, it also
features large rear pockets to avoid the collection of flying
shavings. The smock is cut in a jacket style with a full
length, open ended, metal zip. This smock is also free of the
annoying knitted cuffs that seem to attract shavings like a magnet.
