12" high open weave form in sycamore, with an elm burr base and top,
and an open weave lid in holly with a walnut four start open finial.
"STUART'S EQUIPMENT"
Stuart's main lathes include a One - Way, a VB36, a Union Graduate
and a very special lathe made personally for Stuart by Barry Beck.
He uses a lot of One-Way products including tool handles, chucks and
vacuum chuck, he also the chucks made by
Axminster.
Turning tools come from
Hamlet, Ashley Isles and a variety of
others.
"ENGLISH HERITAGE"
Stuart has been called upon by the English Heritage to re-produce
delicate turnings by by-gone masters for restoration projects in
Historical buildings.
"UNTITLED"
An
untitled hollow form in Pink Ivory with an 18 start Open twist. The
top and base are in Ebony with open weave effect collar. The finial
is also decorated in open weave. Size: This piece measures 15" tall by 9"
wide.
